Tomato soup

Tomato soup preparations:

To prepare  a good tomato soup we need fresh and tasty tomatoes. It is the most important factor to get a tasty soup. You may check a local vegetables market. The best tomatoes usually do not look beautiful, but the most important thing is the taste. Here you may read some information about the best tomatoes.

Ingredients:

Take 2 - 3 kg of tomatoes

- 4  carrots, 2 parsley, 1/2 celery, 1 leek, salt, pepper, 

Wash all vegetables, cut tomatoes, boil them 10 minutes. Strain off liquid from the mixture using a colander.

Another way is to make a juice from tomatoes first.

To do it we may use a steamer first, placing in it all the tomatoes for about 15 minutes. After that make a juice from them in a juice maker.

Take the juice, add other vegetables and some salt and pepper. Keep boiling for 30 min. and prepare noodles or rice.

Serve the tomato soup with noodles or rice and green parsley or dill.

  1. Hi, been enjoying reading your blog after buying some of your sour dough starter, but can you put on your tomato soup recipe how much water to boil the tomatoes is as it is going to make a huge difference to the soup if you use too much, thanks

    1. Hi, Alan, The tomatoe soup is as good as the tomatoes you use. To get a deep, nice taste of the soup take the minimum amount of water. Lately I found a new way to prepare the soup: – first prepare the tomatoes few minutes in a steamer (Tefal Vitaicusine Compact), then do the juice in a juice maker (Philips). I will add photos of them in my post soon. You will get a wonderful, tasty juice and then boil the soup from it
