Roasted Mackerel in The Oven

Mackerel represent over thirty different species. Is known as a delicious fish, easy to prepare. Here is way to do roasted mackerel in at home oven.

Ingredients to prepare a roasted mackerel:

1 (2 to 3-pound) whole mackerel (or bluefish), scaled, gutted, gills removed,

salt, pepper, olive oil,  herbs (optionally)

The best is a fresh fish, but  also  defrosted frozen mackerel may be good. To defrost it we have to take it from the fridge the previous day. 
Take the mackerel, wash in water, dry using kitchen towels or paper. Add some salt and olive oil, leave for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 220 C and put the fish inside on a baking pan. Add some black pepper, red crushed paprika. Bake for about 20 minutes until the fish is light brown. Remove the mackerel from the oven and serve with baked potatoes and vegetable salad with olive oil.  I recommend a steamer to steam potatoes.
